If movement feels like just one more thing on your TO DO list…

Here’s a way to turn your existing workout into something that it has meaning
without adding more reps, routines, or journaling.

I want you to erase boring from your mind when you think about exercising. In reality, you are just disconnected from what you really need it to do.

I keep getting messages, calls from friends, DMs from readers of my book Mat as a Mirror asking me how I use movement to get through challenging moments of life.

“I’m at a standstill in my business. How did you use exercise to move through it?”

“I work out, but it’s not helping where it matters.”

“Exercise feels like a chore, not something that actually helps me emotionally.”

I’ve been there too.
There was a time when exercise was a chore for me. I knew I had to keep going because it was good for my health, so it ended up being a burden.

If I missed a day, I felt guilty. Behind.
Like movement was something I owed, not something that gave anything back.
And even when I showed up?
I’d leave physically tired, but still mentally foggy. Still emotionally stuck.
That’s when I started treating movement differently.
Not as output.
But as rehearsal.
Not as punishment.
But as practice.

That shift changed everything, for me, and for the people I’ve shared it with since.

You’re already doing the hard part.

You show up. You move. You exercise.
But right now, movement feels like maintenance.
It’s not making you feel more grounded, confident, or clear.
That’s not your fault.
No one taught you how to use your body to rehearse emotional skills.
This workshop does.

The Single-Skill Resilience Rehearsal Plan

A 3-step practice to turn your workout into real-life skill building

In less than one hour, you’ll learn how to take whatever movement you already do, walking, lifting, stretching, rolling and turn it into a daily space to rehearse the emotional skill your life is asking for right now.

What you’ll learn:

✅ Step 1: Pick the Skill You Need Most

You’ll start with a short quiz + skill map to find your focus:
Confidence. Calm. Focus. Assertiveness. Recovery.

✅ Step 2: Rehearse It Through Movement

No new routine. No extra time.
Just layer that skill into what you already do. We will look at protocols you can use to rehearse that skill during your workout practice.

✅ Step 3: Track What Shifted

Use simple reflection cues to notice where the skill showed up, not just in your body, but in the rest of your life.

This will not turn you into a new person overnight.

It will show you how to make movement feel meaningful again.
Your body is the place where skill gets built, not the other way around.
You’ll start with one skill. One cue. One small shift.
That’s enough.

✅ Who is this for?

This is for people who:
Already have a movement practice
Are tired of it feeling disconnected, draining, or flat
Want their workouts to actually help them emotionally
Crave a way to grow through their body, not just push through

🚫This is not for people who:

Want a new workout program or physical transformation
Need high-production videos or a 6-week challenge
Aren’t interested in reflection or intention
Believe emotions should stay out of training

What makes this different?

You don’t need to change your routine, just shift how you use it

You’ll pick one skill and rehearse it through motion

You’ll learn to notice how small cues shift your day

You’ll walk away with a repeatable method you can use anytime

Forget motivation. You need a reason.

Let movement become something that feeds your life, not just another task you do.

About me

Mariele Klering is a Brazilian writer and resilience advocate based in New Zealand. After over a decade in the tech industry, she stepped onto the Jiu-Jitsu mat during a time of burnout and grief and never left. Her writing explores the intersections of strength, loss, identity, and the quiet power of doing hard things. She is the author of The Mat as a Mirror, a book about how movement can hold, challenge, and reshape us.

This workshop was born from that same question she kept circling back to:
What if your body could help you rehearse who you want to be?

Mariele has shared this approach in workshops and keynotes, including her talk Movement as the Language of Resilience, which inspired many professionals(especially high-performing women)to return to movement not as punishment or escape, but as a form of inner practice. More than a few told her they went back to training the next week, with a different mindset.

This plan distills that idea into something small, powerful, and doable, designed to fit inside the movement you already do.
